REAL Shaolin Kung Fu - Pilates - Craniosacral Massage - RMT - Acupuncture - Shiatsu - Classic Weapons - Chinese Grappling - Kali Stick Fighting

Welcome to Golden Harmony

Welcome to the Golden Harmony Healing and Martial Arts Centre. The Centre is located in the heart of Toronto, on 895 Yonge street, between the Bloor/Yonge and Rosedale subway stations. Click for a more detailed map and location description.

We offer a range of services in both the Healing Arts and the Martial Arts. The Centre was started from Sifu Rupert Harvey's desire to spread the teachings of the Shaolin philosophy and martial arts to the public. The Golden Harmony Healing and Martial Arts Centre maintains true Shaolin tradition, not only in it's training regime, but also in providing the ability to heal what has been damaged.

The main style of Kung Fu taught by Sifu Harvey is "Tai Chi Tong Long", or Tai Chi Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Praying Mantis Kung Fu is a system of martial arts that was originally taught in one of the four courts of the Northern Shaolin Temple (Honan province). It is a very powerful style of Kung Fu that uses both internal energy and external martial techniques.

Sifu Simon has extensive training in the internal arts of Tai Chi, Xing Yi and Ba Gua. At present he teaches Tai Chi and Xing Yi in a combined composite form of Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. Tai Chi is both a healing and martial art. Training with Sifu Simon will benefit anyone from beginners to people who already studied Tai Chi or martial arts.

We also offer traditional 7-star mantis advanced weapons training at Golden Harmony, taught by Sifu Stephan. There are more than 70 forms in Sifu Stephan's repertoire, all from the original 7-star mantis style. Depending on a student's level, some forms can be learned in as little as four classes. Naturally, weapons classes are taught to students who already have a good understanding of basics and stances.

Katie Woodford offers registered massage therapy services in one of our two spacious treatment rooms. The other room is shared by various other practitioners who offer Shiatsu, Acupuncture, Wu's head massage and Chinese Energetic Healing. You can call the centre at 416 341 0647 to inquire.
